SpazioFMG per l’Architettura 2016

SpazioFMG per l’Architettura 2016 programme of exhibitions and events, sponsored by Iris Ceramica and FMG Group and curated by Luca Molinari and Alessandro Benetti confirms its attention to deal with the different design scales,  geographical and cultural contexts.

The public programme opens with the series devoted to interior design. A design saga through 3 generations is staged with the exhibition Da Portaluppi ai Castellini, which is carried out in cooperation with Piero Portaluppi Foundation, to trace the similarities and the contrasts among the renown Milanese architect and his descendants Piero and Nicolò Castellini Baldissera.

Landa Arquitectos & Piuarch presents the different approaches by the Mexican and Italian firms to design urban landcapes in Monterrey and Milano through their latest projects.

The photos shot by Ken Schluchtmann along Norway National Tourist Routes present an author reading of a selection of landscape design projects within Norway. Architecture, Infrastructure, Landscape, a collective exhibition featuring the best Norwegian architects including Snøhetta, Carl-Viggo Hølmebakk and Manthey Kula.

In autumn Bernard Khoury, the most brilliant and visionary architect among Lebanese contemporary architects is invited to transform SpazioFMG gallery with a site-specific exhibition showcasing 100 among drawings and photos, and 16 “talking objects”, which speak his same voice. In order of appearance is a multi-level story that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the kaleidoscopic universe of Bernard Khoury, in the real and imagined places of his city, Beirut.

SpazioFMG per l’Architettura closes 2016 programme by celebrating its 10-year long activities and inviting the protagonists of Italian architecture “to stand up”. For the first time ever Controcampo offers a group portrait of the Italian protagonists conceiving, designing and making architecture every day. More than 200 faces together with as many recommended books along a 9 metres long and 6-mm thick FMG MaxFine tile.

Great events, such as COME IN WE’RE OPEN!, designed by Diesel Living with Iris Ceramica on the occasion of 2016 Design Week 2016 enrich the programme of exhibitions designed by Luca Molinari Studio.
