To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the foundation of the Association of architects, urban planners, landscape architects and conservationists of the province of Varese (Ordine degli architetti, pianificatori, paesaggisti e conservatori della provincia di Varese) Luca Molinari was invited to design part of the series of interactive public events AMIAMO VARESE? (DO WE LOVE VARESE?) Dialogues between architecture and design within the spectacular setting of the eighteenth century Menafoglio Litta Panza di Biumo Villa, traditionally host to original exhibitions. Today the villa features one of the most important and significant Post War American art collections spanning Minimalism to Conceptual art and Environmental Art.
The exchanges are conducted on the basis of an apparent juxtaposition of opposing themes. These fertile pairings become food for thought both through the design experience and the theoretical deliberations of some of the brightest European designers, asked to discuss and meet with a colleague from a different country as well as with the public at Villa Panza.
