Cantieri aperti is a series of events conceived to present the most important public works under construction in Italy to a wide audience. The monthly rendezvous aim to present a selection of projects while on the making and explain the work and results carried out by well-known and less-known architects.

The dialogues between involved parties, from the client to the project designer and the structural engineer, allow to get an insight of the complex challenges faced by contemporary architecture. Despite the difficulty of making architecture in Italy and the radical changes undergone by our cities Cantieri aperti show the clear and often unexpected results of the national know-how among others Milan New Trade Fair by Massimiliano Fuksas, the conservative renovation of Pirelli tower (Renato Sarno Group and Corvino + Multari Architects) and the renovation-extension of Teatro La Scala (Mario Botta).
